In Government Camp and the surrounding Mount Hood area, there are many places worth visiting during the winter. These places offer a mix of outdoor adventures, scenic beauty, and opportunities to relax and enjoy the winter atmosphere in Government Camp. Visit the Government Camp Sno-Park, which serves as a hub for various winter activities. It's a great starting point for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
All Sno-Parks across Mt. Hood National Forest (except for Billy Bob Sno-Park) require Sno-Park Permits. You must have a valid Sno-Park Permit in your vehicle windshield to park in these designated winter recreation areas from November 1 through April 30.

Cosmic Tubing is the best party on the mountain and it's in our backyard, just a 5 minute walk! Enjoy over laser light shows, black lights, colored lights, music and more! Dual convery belts will carry you up the hill. Reservations and advanced purchasing of tickets are required for all guests.
There is a 36-inch height requirement for tubing. Children must be able to ride in their own tube and not in a lap or with another participant.

Hit the slopes at Mt. Hood Meadows, one of the largest ski resorts in Oregon. With a variety of terrain, it's suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
Meadows also offers daycare for children 6 weeks to age 11!
Check out Summit Ski Area for a family-friendly skiing experience. This smaller ski area is great for beginners and those looking for a more laid-back atmosphere.
Head to White River Sno-Park for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. The snow-covered landscape and views of the White River Canyon make it a beautiful winter destination.
Gives access to Forest Road 48 and 43 road systems for snow mobiling, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing. No amenities. Space for 40 vehicles. Trailer parking is available. Shared use corridor.
While primarily a summer attraction, the Alpine Slide at Mt. Hood Adventure Park may operate during the winter on certain days, offering a unique winter thrill.

Enid Lake is a serene spot for winter photography. Capture the frozen lake surrounded by snow-covered trees for a tranquil and scenic experience. During the winter, cross country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities are available on this trail.
